Active Release techniques
Active Release Techniques (ART) was developed specifically to treat muscle and fascial dysfunction and injury.
Wear and tear on the body can damage the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Your body responds to this by building scar tissue which, over time, can lead to the formation of adhesions (fibrous areas of scar tissue) that prevent muscles and joints from moving freely, as well as cause significant pain. Occasionally, these adhesions can contribute to the entrapment of nerves or refer pain to other areas of the body.
ART is an extremely accurate way to evaluate the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves surrounding the area of involvement. Treatment is then applied with specific tension and movement.

Chiropractic Adjustments
Specific spinal adjustments are the hallmark of chiropractic care. An adjustment is a gentle force introduced into a joint that is intended to release it from its abnormal motion and/or position.
Chiropractic adjusting emphasizes diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Using the most gentle and specific methods possible, we manipulate the spine and extremities to normalize range of motion and proper biomechanical function.
Addressing joint fixations without concomitant muscle care results in symptom relief that is often short-lived. Chiropractic care is extremely effective when used in conjunction with manual muscle therapy.
